Staff Comment - For the past nine years we have implemented linen re-usage, environmentally sound housekeeping products, including laundry products, water gathering from rain and washers, lo-flow showers and sinks, guest and staff participation. Our gardens are xeriscape in compliance with Florida recognition programs and lawn areas have been reduced by 1/3 to reduce gray water consumption. In our newest property we are wholly Florida native landscaping, using no water, other than nature.

Our political activities include sustainability for our barrier island community, encouraging public transportation usage, bicycle (free to all guests) and programs and activities featuring the natural wonders of our immediate area. We are situated between two stae parks, one of the south's largest mangrove preserves and the Atlantic. It's a natural evolution of our location.
