Finca Adalgisa
Finca Adalgisa is an early 20th century manor house and vineyard estate in the heart of the premier wine-growing
region of Argentina. It is a charming family home converted in 2001 by Gabriela Furlotti,a third generation
Argentine-Italian, into the first boutique hotel and winery in Mendoza.
Although secluded and private, it is conveniently located within 20 minutes drive of Mendoza’s city center and
within walking distance of a thriving little community with local shops and nice restaurants, called Chacras de Coria.
Guests are warmly welcomed as new friends and their home is your home. They have a relaxing and informal environment
where things can be arranged spontaneously.
Eleven guest rooms are located at the Finca. The vineyard and fruit trees occupy more than half of the total of
approx. 5 acres (2 hectares). Each room is different and well equipped. All rooms have a king or queen-sized bed,
a private bathroom, air-conditioning, a safe, a mini-bar, wifi, and a telephone. Other distinctive characteristics
of the rooms are: a terrace, a living area, a fireplace and/or kitchenette. Each room manages to be unique, unpretentious and comfortable.
A complete breakfast buffet with freshly-baked bread, fruits, fresh juices and marmalades and much more is included
during your stay. In the evening, you are invited to enjoy yourself with a nice glass of wine and some tapas
at their cozy wine tasting area, inside the little winery which is located at The Finca.

Overall Rating: ★★★ (3)
Energy Rating: ★★ (2)
Staff Comment - staff is instructuted to switch off light in case of unnecesary llight use. almost all of the out side lights switch automatically on (at dusk) and off (at dawn) due to day light sensors.
Water Rating: ★★★★ (4)
Staff Comment - for example: in our vineyard the usage of chemicals is reduced to a minimum. we are close to producing an
organic wine. guests are informed that sheets and towels for environmental reasons are not renewed daily, unless they
requiere it. we indirectly collect rainwater: the natural water enters at the highest point into our farm from the
Andes mountains. Through a canal system with slots the water runs through our vineyard and is being collected in a
small lake at our farm. We re-use this water to keep the rest of our farm green.
Disposal Rating: ★★★ (3)
Staff Comment - garbage separation. seperate batteries disposal. re-use of organic material: for example the branches
we cut in autumn in the vineyard, we collect and deposit and re-use them for the fireplaces in the guest rooms and
public area ( which also reduces the usage of gas to warm up the room and rest of the hotel )
Eco-Active Rating: ★★★ (3)
Staff Comment - because we thought it was a right thing to do and to show our apreciation towards the local comunity
we organised a charity program ( project lavalle ). we donated products from our hotels ( sheets , towels etc , ),
from our distributors and partners we are working with a primary school in the rural and poor area of Lavalle.
It was a project were all almost all our 30 staff membres took part in : this to make them more aware.
we also are changing all regular light bulbs into energy saving light bulbs
Protection Rating: ★★★ (3)
Staff Comment - A point to mention is our decision to take out all the TV´s in the guests rooms
( we now have 1 TV in our library. This to save energy and to be honest we simpy believe that enjoying our
farm or spending time with other guests in the winery is better than watching TV. Our suppliers are almost
all local, especially food and beverage.
