Kasbah Timdaf
Kasbah Timdaf is a Berber fortified farm built of earth and stone. It represents not only an eco-lodge but also an ideal base from which to learn more about the customs and culture of the Berbers. At only one hour from Marrakech, in the High Atlas mountains, near Demnate, Kasbah Timdaf offer the opportunity to visit the many natural “Geoparc M'Goun” sites. Whether you enjoy walking, cycling or trekking or you are more of a relaxed disposition and prefer to move by mule or 4X4, there is something to cater for everyone’s rhythm.
Surrounded by nature you can find yourself walking in the shade of great pine trees or between the many olive and almond trees in the property’s private garden, a magical place to sit back, relax and find yourself in harmony with the Moroccan surroundings.

Staff Comment - The house is build with earth and stone. She keep cool in summer time and warm in in winter time.
There is no air conditioning.
We heat during winter by using a recovery system and a heat pump inserted into a fireplace
All wood burned are old olive trees that are now unproductive therefore cut
All corridors and passage way are automatic lights extinguishing
Most of the electric light bulb are energy saving light bulbs
We plan to install wind turbines during the next winter

Staff Comment - In the place where we leave, it is raining one or two time year. There is no point to organize rain collecting.
