Mango Creek Lodge
Built amongst 22 acres of carefully maintained grounds at Mango Creek. There is an extensive pathway system around the property that allows you to safely explore to your hearts content. Download a copy of the Mango Creek flora and fauna guide and practice identifying some of the plants, trees and critters you will find here.
The full-time gardeners tend to dozens of varieties of flowers, fruit trees and decorative plants. The property is best described as an Eco Friendly Jungle. Guests are encouraged to chat with the gardeners (some Spanish can be helpful with a couple of them!) - they love their work and are proud of it.
Wandering over to the Longhouse - where the staff is housed during their work week here. All the staff live there during the week, and take their meals in their own kitchen area. On the ground floor is the large workshop where the beautiful wood furniture is created. They always welcome a visit and a chat!
Located adjacent to an extensive Nature Preserve and minutes away to some very beautiful and uninhabited hiking areas to the east. If you would like parts of Roatan that few others ever see, then just let them know, and they’ll even arrange for one of their staff to lead the way!

Staff Comment - We are off grid. we generate most of our power by Solar 5.5kw. and by wind generators 2.2 Kw. Water heat is is supplied by solar. We typically run our diesel generator about three hours per day. We use 7watt florescent lighting made on site.

Staff Comment - We do our best to adhere to a strict policy of biodegradable products where available. We suffer for the lack of Garbage collection or recycling collection on this Island.

Staff Comment - All guests are educated when they arrive. We have Humus toilets. We are minimising the use of plastic by issueing guests their own personalised water bottle that they can refill.

Staff Comment - We are a fishing resort also and our conservation practises include an anti netting, and sea turtle protection program. Also many of our guest take part in our local school classes for Mangrove, Lobster and Conch protection.
