Neeleshwar Hermitage
"There are some places in India, so beautifully carved that they are about
to reach perfection, or at least inspire a profound respect: Agra's Taj
Mahal is one of them. Located in the heart of the Malabar coastline of
Kerala, Neeleshwar Hermitage could well be another one...
Set against the immensity of the Ocean, facing a beautiful empty beach,
Neeleshwar Hermitage is an oasis of calm and serenity that combines the
tranquil and rejuvenating simplicity of a retreat with the comfort and
elegance of a first class hotel.
They believe that inner and outer harmonies go together; everything we take in
through our senses is food for the soul. So the natural beauty of their
surroundings is carefully protected by eco-friendly policies, and they promote
the practice of the nourishing lifestyle arts for which Kerala is renowned
Ayurveda, massage, meditation and yoga.
They have eight single cottages, and four double cottages, offering a total of
sixteen rooms, with private terraces facing the open sea or the lush
gardens. All of them are light and airy with attached courtyard bathrooms,
and are furnished with local handmade furniture and both antique and
contemporary works of art from Kerala, and an in-house stereo system (iPod).
Among the hotel's amenities and services are the magnificent Varuna
infinity pool, the central Annapurna Restaurant (mostly veg.) and the beach
side Meenakshi Restaurant (sea-food), the authentic and natural treatments
at Priya Spa Ayurvedic Center, and finally a lavish Yoga and
Meditation Hall."
