The Green House on the Hill is surrounded by trees in a quiet, woodland
setting with views of the sea, city and Cape Kidnappers. It offer
friendly, smoke-free accommodation, for a visit to Hawkes Bay.
Originally from Somerset, England, the owners, Ruth and Jeremy, have
lived in New Zealand for 15 years, most of that time in this area. Their
interests include walking, gardening, travelling, genealogy and the
internet....
The Green House offers a separate guest floor with 3 rooms... 1 Queen
bedded room with en-suite, 1 queen bedded room with small lounge and
separate, private bathroom . The lounge can sleep 2 more people if you
are a family, or friends travelling together. Just email your
requirements . Rooms cost $130 per night B&B.
The home is set amongst mature trees with plenty of native birds to be
heard and even the odd Possum sighting! If you would like us to arrange
sightseeing tours, Wine tours etc , you only have to ask.
The use of local facilities is actively encouraged and Ruth and Jerry
endeavour to act responsibly environmentally from recycling or
composting to using local products as much as possible.

Staff Comment – Sheets and towels re-used unless guests specifically request otherwise. All laundry done on low temperature, short cycle and line drying. Use of environmentally friendly products where practicable.

Staff Comment – We recycle all plastic, paper and glas. We compost all our organic waste and use of organic waste and use on our organic garden! Refillable bottles used for all guest toiletries and eco-friendly products used in them!
