Timarai Bamboo Resort
Located in Costa Rica´s mid Pacific Center on the spectacular Palo Seco beach,
Timarai Bamboo Resort is the world's largest bamboo resort (winner of the national prize for architecture in 2005). It has 22 rooms, a restaurant, a bar, a swimming pool and the beach is no more than 300 ft to the most distant room.
The resort offers a whole range of activities and services including romantic honeymoon packages, weddings, adventure tours, snorkeling, kayaking, rafting and much more. Everything is set against the wonderful scenery provided by the Palo Seco beach on the one side and lush mangroves on the other.
The rooms are designed to offer a natural and pleasant stay, mixing original design concepts whilst staying in harmony with the local environment. The experience is very organic, owning partly to the bamboo used in construction and partly to the wonderfully maintained gardens and mangrove.

Staff Comment - We were dividing the different kinds of waste (plastic, glass, metal…) but the waste truck mixes everything so we are waiting for a government positive policy about waste so can make our work useful.
We save of fruits wastes from the kitchen to feed birds and local iguanas.
